STATE FORENSIC SCIENCE LABORATORY

The Regional Forensic Science Laboratory, Jalpaiguri had been established in the year 1987 and been functioning with the Biology Division since October 1990. The Regional Forensic Science Laboratory, Jalpaigury is presently catering to the eight districts of North Bengal including Siliguri Police Commissionerate. The new two-storied laboratory building and one residential building is housed within the campus area of 1.46 acre. The new laboratory building was inaugurated on 31st October, 2018 by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Smt. Mamata Banerjee. At present the functional Division/Section in this laboratory are Biology & Serology Division and Toxicology Section.
